The Zickenbach is an approximately 22 km long tributary to the Strem in Burgenland . It flows through the so-called Zickentaler Moor and is used for intensive pond management near Güssing (60 hectares of fish pond area).

The Zickenbach rises south of the Halmheu district in Burgauberg-Neudauberg as Rohrer Bach and then flows in a southeastern direction. From Rohr in Burgenland it bears the name Zickenbach. At Rehgraben , in the municipality of Gerersdorf-Sulz , the Rettenbach flows into the Zickenbach. In the further course it flows through the districts of Gerersdorf and Sulz and joins the Strem west of Güssing .
Zickentaler Moor
The wet meadows on the Zickenbach between the places Heugraben ( Croatian Žarnovica ), Eisenhüttl ( Croatian Jezerjani ) and Rohr in Burgenland were declared a nature reserve " Auwiesen Zickenbachtal " in 1991 (also known as "Rohrer Moor"). It is a bog ; With an area of 42 hectares, it is the largest fen area in Austria.
