Zita Hitz

Zita Hitz (born September 20, 1925 - † February 8, 2013 ) was a German actress .

Life

Zita Hitz, about whose education nothing is known, worked as a theater actress in the 1950s and 1960s . Directed by Peter Hamel , she appeared alongside Mila Kopp and Ortrud Bechler at the Württembergisches Staatstheater Stuttgart as the daughter of mother Wolffen in the comedy Der Biberpelz by Gerhart Hauptmann . Her portrayal as a "funny cheeky backfish" was highlighted in the contemporary reviews of the time. She embodied this role in 1956 with the same partners in the radio play of the same name by the SDR directed by Cläre Schimmel .

At the Landesbühne Rhein-Main she was partner of Liesel Christ several times in the 1950s . In a production by Karl Striebeck , she played “Federle”, Truchseß's lover and spy, alongside Christ's “Schellenbarbell” from July 1956 , in the folk play The Ballade from Eulenspiegel , from Federle and from the thick Pompanne from the Rhineland- born author Günther Weisenborn (first performance: Hamburger Schauspielhaus 1949 with Ruth Leuwerik ). From August 1957, Eve followed, directed by Siegfried Nürnberger, in the new production of Der zerbrochne Krug , in which Liesel Christ took on the role of Mrs. Marthe Rull and Egon Zehlen the village judge Adam.

In the 1958/59 season (premiere: December 1958) she took over the role of Kitty in the Schwank Charley's aunt at the Bayerisches Staatsschauspiel , alongside Dieter Kirchlechner (Charles Wykeham) and Heinrich Schweiger (Lord Francourt Babberley) .

Hitz also worked as a film actress . During the 1950s, she made a few appearances on the big screen. In the role of the very young maid Leni in the film The Sinful Village, she had a momentous affair with the farmer from Wegscheid, played by Beppo Brem . She was then seen in the three Schongerfilm fairy tale productions Schneewittchen (1955) (as chambermaid Franziska), Rübezahl - Herr der Berge (1957) (as kitchen maid Rosa) and Die Bremer Stadtmusikanten (1959) (as a customer in the grocer's shop).

Zita Hitz was a member of the German Stage Members' Cooperative .
