properties

Initially, domains could only be registered on the third level; second-level domains have only been permitted since October 2009 . Owners of existing addresses could register .do domains preferentially. The existing second-level domains were not dissolved, but remained in place. For example, .com.do , .net.do and .org.do exist as country-specific alternatives to the generic addresses .com , .net and .org . .Do domains can be registered without a place of residence or a branch in the country, but the registry requires the identification of the identity card - or the commercial register - and VAT number when registering.
