.ni is the country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for Nicaragua . It was introduced on October 13, 1989 and is administered by Avenida Universitaria in Managua .

Domains can only be registered on the third level, can be between three and 63 characters long and contain only alphanumeric characters . Hyphens are also possible, but cannot be in the first or last position. As a second-level domain are for example .com.ni for commercial enterprises or .org.ni for organizations to choose from.
