Alberta Prairie Railway Excursions is a heritage railway originating in Stettler, Alberta.
The train runs between Stettler and Big Valley. The trips last five to six hours, with a stopover (all excursions include a buffet meal). Many trains (see the schedule[1]) are pulled by the No. 41 1920 Baldwin 2-8-0 steam locomotive, formerly Mississippian Railway #77 and sometimes CN U-1-f 4-8-2 number 6060. On days when the 2 steamers aren't running, the railroad operates SW-1200 diesel switcher number 1259. Until the end of the railroad's 1999 season, it operated on the 60 mile route to Coronation,_Alberta, which is still ripped up as of today.
