(2951) Perepadin ( 1977 RB 8 ; 1930 FD ; 1933 UW 1 ; 1944 UA ; 1950 WE ; 1952 DM 2 ; 1955 UG ; 1958 HC ; 1969 JF ; 1971 SA 4 ; 1971 UU 1 ; 1980 JP ) is an approximately 47 A kilometer-wide asteroid of the main outer belt , which was discovered on September 13, 1977 by the Russian (then Soviet Union ) astronomer Nikolai Stepanowitsch Tschernych at the Crimean Observatory (Nautschnyj branch) on the Crimean peninsula ( IAU code 095).
designation
(2951) Perepadin was named after the Soviet agronomist Alexander Ivanovich Perepadin (1945-1994), who was a friend of the explorer Nikolai Stepanowitsch Tschernych. He was a lecturer at the Crimean Agricultural Institute and Chairman of the Council of Bakhchysarai Raion .
