(46280) Hollar is an asteroid of the central main belt discovered on May 21, 2001 by the Czech astronomer Petr Pravec and the Slovak astronomer Peter Kušnirák at the Ondřejov observatory ( IAU code 557) in Ondřejov u Prahy .
The asteroid belongs to the Eunomia family, a group named after (15) Eunomia , to which probably five percent of the asteroids in the main belt belong. The ageless (not osculating ) orbital elements of (46280) Hollar are almost identical with those of four smaller (when one of the absolute brightness starting from 14.8, 16.0, 16.1 and 16.6 against 14.1) asteroid : (59784) 2004 NV 44 , (195370) 2002 FF 30 , (239758) 2010 AU 75 and (314774) 2006 SE 390 .
(46280) Hollar was named on September 10, 2003 after the Bohemian draftsman and engraver Wenceslaus Hollar (1607–1677), who worked in the Netherlands and England.
