Çayırova is a district of the Turkish province of Kocaeli and at the same time a district of the Büyükşehir belediyesi (big city commune) Kocaeli. The place is about 50 kilometers west of the provincial capital İzmit .
The district is located in the west of the province. It borders Gebze to the east, Darıca to the south and Istanbul province to the west . It is bounded in the north by the European route 80 and in the south by the trunk road D-100. It is completely urbanized, the area of the place corresponds completely to that of the district.
The Anatolian Railway runs through Çayırova from Istanbul - Haydarpaşa to Ankara .
