Jean Éric Milazar (born June 1, 1975 in Rodrigues ) is a Mauritian sprinter who specializes in the 400-meter run .
So far he has won three titles at the African Athletics Championships and was able to secure the bronze medal over 4 × 100 meters at the 2002 Athletics World Cup in the relay . Milazar represented his country at four consecutive Summer Olympics : 1996 in Atlanta , 2000 in Sydney , 2004 in Athens and 2008 in Beijing . He reached the semifinals in 2004.
The 1.90 m tall and 80 kg heavy athlete is also successful, although he was unable to win any medals, at World Athletics Championships. At the 2001 World Cup in Edmonton, he ran into the finals and finished fourth there. He was almost able to maintain this performance in 2003 in Paris / Saint-Denis with a sixth place. At the 2005 World Cup in Helsinki and the 2009 World Cup in Berlin, however, he was eliminated in his preliminary stages.
