The Austrian Women's Football Cup was in the 1982/83 season under the name Women's World Cup , hosted by the Vienna Football Association, played for the 11th time. The trophy was won for the fourth time by ESV Ostbahn XI Vienna.

Participating teams

For the Austrian women's soccer cup, the following 13 (!!) teams, which are classified according to the season placement of the women's league East I 1981/82 and the women's league East II 1981/82, would have qualified based on the participation of the leagues of the 1982/83 season . Teams that are marked as crossed out did not take part in the competition for various reasons or are second teams and therefore did not play for the cup. Representatives from other federal states were also able to take part.
