The Austrian Women's Soccer Cup was played for the 35th time in the 2008/09 season. As Öfb Ladies Cup he was the Austrian Football Federation for the 17th time, as ÖFB Stiegl Ladies Cup for the fifth and last time, carried out and began on 20 September 2008 with the first round and ended on 13 June 2009 the final in Kammer-Schörfling. SV Neulengbach won the trophy for the seventh time in a row.

Participating teams

For the Austrian women's soccer cup, based on the participation of the leagues of the 2008/09 season, the following 32 teams, which after the season placement of the ÖFB women's league 2007/08 , the 2nd division mid 2007/08 , the 2nd division East 2007 / 08 , the 2nd League South 2007/08 and the 2nd League West 2007/08 , which was not played this season , have qualified.
