history

It is not known when Řešetova Lhota was founded. In 1422 it was owned by Petr Řešetka, from whom the place name is derived. His daughter Ludmila was married to Jan von Chvalkovice. The following owners include Kuneš Bohdanecký and Straka von Nedabilitz ( Strakové z Nedabilic ). In 1716 Nikolaus Strak von Nedabilitz ( Mikuláš Strak ) sold Řešetova Lhota, which was then also known as Strakowa Lhota , the widow of Duke Lorenzo Piccolomini , Anna Viktoria, née Kolowrat . She acted as the guardian of her son Giovanni Venceslao Piccolomini and incorporated it into the Nachod rule . Since she acquired it as an allod , it could be freely inherited or sold. Under the Courland Duke Peter von Biron , who had acquired the Nachod rule in 1792, Řešetova Lhota was given its own privilege for labor .

In 1836 Řešetova Lhota, which was parish in Studnitz, had 376 inhabitants who lived in 57 houses. In addition, there was an emphyteutic Meierhof , a mill, an inn and a Hegerhaus at that time. Until the end of patrimonial rule in the middle of the 19th century, Řešetova Lhota remained connected with the Nachod rule. Then it formed its own community in the Neustadt an der Mettau district .

In 1991 Řešetova Lhota had 165 inhabitants. In 2001 the place consisted of 74 houses in which 155 people lived.
