Ƚ
The Ƚ ( lower case ƚ) is a letter of the Latin writing system . It consists of an L / l with a horizontal line .
The letter is used in the 1978 Saanich spelling for a voiceless lateral alveolar fricative (IPA: ɬ ). The lower case letter is used as a phonetic symbol for the same sound.
The Ƚ is also part of the Venetian alphabet. The sound assigned to it there has no equivalent in IPA , but is similar to a voiced palatal approximant.
In Kobon , the Ƚ is used for a very rare retroflex lateral flap that cannot be visualized in IPA .

Unicode contains the Ƚ at the code points U + 023D (uppercase letter) and U + 019A (lowercase letter).
On the German standard keyboard layout E1 , the letter is entered with the help of the slash accent, i.e. with the key sequence Alt Gr+ ä- L/ l.
