(21664) Konradzuse is an asteroid of the central main belt that was discovered on September 4, 1999 by the Czech astronomer Lenka Kotková (at that time still under her birth name Lenka Šarounová ) at the Ondřejov observatory ( IAU code 557) in Ondřejov u Prahy . The asteroid had already been sighted on January 11, 1988 under the provisional designation 1988 AR 2 at the Karl Schwarzschild Observatory in Tautenburg .
The mean diameter of the asteroid was calculated to be 4.156 km (± 0.181).
(21664) Konradzuse is named after the German computer pioneer Konrad Zuse . Zuse computers were the first computers used by Czechoslovak astronomers. The asteroid was named on September 2, 2001.
