(2461) Clavel ( 1981 EC 1 ; 1955 SN 2 ; 1955 UJ ; 1955 VG ; 1972 TH 9 ; 1976 JM 1 ; 1978 UM 2 ) is an approximately 26-kilometer asteroid of the outer main belt that was removed on November 2, 1975 from the Belgian Astronomer Henri Debehogne at the La Silla Observatory on which La Silla was discovered in La Higuera in Chile ( IAU code 809).

(2461) Clavel was named after Gustavine Clavel on the occasion of her 100th birthday on April 13, 1991 .
