(2581) Radegast ( 1980 VX ; 1928 DV ; 1960 YA ; 1973 SU 5 ; 1975 EH 5 ; 1978 CB ; 1979 MQ ) is an approximately seven kilometers large asteroid of the main inner belt that was destroyed on November 11, 1980 by the Czech (then : Czechoslovakia ) astronomer Zdeňka Vávrová was discovered at the Kleť observatory on the Kleť near Český Krumlov in the Czech Republic ( IAU code 046).

(2581) Radegast was named after the Slavic deity Svarožić ( called Radegast in the Wends ).
