(2583) Fatyanov ( 1975 XA 3 ; 1941 UT ; 1968 UB 2 ; 1970 EX ; 1975 VK 6 ; 1975 VM 9 ; 1975 VU 1 ) is an asteroid of the inner main belt about six kilometers in size , which was released on December 3, 1975 by the Russian (then: Soviet Union ) astronomer Tamara Michailowna Smirnowa was discovered at the Crimean observatory (Nautschnyj branch) on the Crimean peninsula ( IAU code 095).

(2583) Fatyanov was named after the Soviet poet and songwriter Alexei Ivanovich Fatyanov (1919-1959).
