(260508) Alagna is an asteroid of the main inner belt discovered by the French computer scientist and amateur astronomer Jean-Claude Merlin on March 3, 2005 at the fully automatic Ritchey-Chrétien 81 cm telescope of the Tenagra II Observatory in Nogales , Arizona ( IAU code 926 ) has been discovered. The telescope was able to head for Merlin from France when it was discovered.

The asteroid was named on April 25, 2013 after Roberto Alagna , a French opera singer ( tenor ) of Sicilian origin.
