(264020) Stuttgart is an asteroid of the inner main belt with a diameter of almost two kilometers. It was discovered on August 17, 2009 by German amateur astronomer Erwin Schwab at the Tzec Maun Observatory in Mayhill, New Mexico, in the United States .
The asteroid was named on November 2, 2011 after Stuttgart , the state capital of Baden-Württemberg . The publication appeared on February 7, 2012 in Minor Planet Circular number 78272.
