(4500) Pascal is an asteroid of the main belt , of February 3, 1989 by the Japanese astronomers Hiroshi Kaneda and Seiji Ueda at the observatory of Kushiro ( IAU code 399) in the prefecture of Hokkaido was discovered.
The asteroid was named on November 21, 1991 after the French mathematician , physicist and philosopher Blaise Pascal (1623–1662).
