(6880) Hayamiyu is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 13 October 1994 by the Japanese astronomer Satoru Ōtomo in Kiyosato ( IAU code 894) in Yamanashi Prefecture was discovered.
The asteroid was named on July 28, 1999 after the Japanese singer and actress Yū Hayami (* 1966).
