The Mugello 1000 km race in 1985 , also known as the 1000 km Mugello , took place on April 14th at the Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello and was the first round of the sports car world championship of that year.

The race

In Mugello the sports car world championship began in 1985 , as the previous season had ended; with an overall victory for a racing car of the Porsche works team . After almost 6 hours of driving, Jacky Ickx and Jochen Mass won in the new Porsche 962C with half a minute ahead of Marc Surer and Manfred Winkelhock in the Kremer -962C.
