The 122-mm howitzer D-30 (2A18) ( Russian 122-мм гаубица Д-30 (2А18) ) is a medium-sized howitzer with a caliber of 121.92 millimeters developed in the Soviet Union . It was constructed from 1954 to 1960 under the direction of FF Petrov . 122-mm howitzer D-30 was a designation of the Soviet Army and manufacturer, Zavod No. 9 (Plant No. 9) in Sverdlovsk . 2A18 is its GRAU index , the name of the headquarters for missiles and artillery (GRAU).
The D-30 is used in the Khalifa-1 GHY-02 mobile artillery system from the Sudanese manufacturer Military Industry Corporation .
