The 1948/49 season was the 27th season of the 1 ^re série , the highest French ice hockey division . The Chamonix Hockey Club became champions for the twelfth time in the club's history .

mode

In the main round, the league was divided into two groups of four teams each (Paris / Alpes). The first two in each group qualified for the final round, in which the champions were played. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a defeat.
