The 1981/82 season was the 60th season of Nationale A , the highest French ice hockey division . CSG Grenoble became champions for the second time in the club's history .

mode

The ten teams played 18 games each in the main round. The eight best-placed teams qualified for the final round, in which the champions were played. The points from the main round were carried over to the final round. The last two placed had to compete in the relegation against the four best second division teams. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a defeat.
