2nd Floorball Bundesliga 2008/09
This article deals with the 2nd Floorball Bundesliga 2008/09 .
Participating teams
There were also some new team names in the second Bundesliga, among other things due to new syndicates. The following clubs were affected:
- SV 1919 Grimma → MFBC Wikinger Grimma
- Floorball Löwen Leipzig II → MFBC Löwen Leipzig II
- UPS hall → Saalebiber hall

Main round
- mode
Again there were two seasons, East and West, with which the 2nd Bundesliga started. The main round is played in a single round (first and second leg). After that, the two best teams of each season play in the playoffs for participation in the relegation to promotion to the Bundesliga. The last placed in the East relay must be relegated to the regional league.

Playoffs
The two best teams of each season take part in the playoffs. The games are played according to the best-of-three mode. As finalists of the playoffs, the Red Devils Wernigerode and the Unihockey Igels Dresden were entitled to take part in the relegation games for promotion to the 1st Bundesliga .

The Red Devils Wernigerode were allowed to compete in the 1st Bundesliga in the coming season, while the Unihockey Igels Dresden failed to qualify.
