The 233rd Panzer Division was a major unit of the army of the German Wehrmacht in World War II .

The 233rd Panzer Division (PD) was set up in Frankfurt (Oder) in April 1943 when the Rapid Troops and the renamed 233rd Panzer Grenadier Division were disbanded and should serve as a motorized reserve division. In August 1943 it was renamed 233rd Reserve PD. In April 1945 the unit was relocated to Denmark and was to be reactivated for war operations and placed under the 45th Panzer Division "Clausewitz" . The 233rd PD was not involved in any major combat activities.
