The 45-minute race of Road Atlanta 1981, 1st race , also Road Atlanta Camel GT (Camel GTU), Road Atlanta , took place on April 12 of this year on the circuit of Road Atlanta . The race was the third round of the IMSA GTP series in 1981 and only counted towards the GTU class.

The race

This 45-minute race was one of four races in the IMSA GTP series that year on the Road Atlanta circuit in 1981 . The Rennveransatlu only belonged to the GTU class and was run as part of the supporting program for the 100-mile race at Road Atlanta and ended with the victory of Walt Bohren , who was flagged almost two seconds ahead of teammate Lee Mueller .
