The 500-mile race at Road America in 1981 , even Pabst 500 (Camel GT), Road America, Elkhart Lake , found on August 23 at the circuit of Road America instead and was the 14th championship round of the World Sportscar Championship and the 18 . the IMSA GT Championship this year.

The race

The Road America 500-mile race was one of the drivers' championships in the World Sports Car Championship in 1981. Like the 6-hour race in Mosport a week before, the race event ended with the overall victory of Rolf Stommelen and Harald Grohs in a Porsche 935M16 . Second came Brian Redman and Sam Posey , who drove a Lola T600 .
