The 1981 Sears Point 45-Minute Race , also Datsun Camel GTU, Sears Point International Raceway, Sonoma , took place on July 26th of that year at Sonoma Raceway . The race was the 13th round of the IMSA GTP series in 1981 and only counted towards the GTU class.

The race

The race at Sonoma Raceway was the fourth race of the season that only counted towards the GTU class. The previous events in this class were won by Walt Bohren and Lee Mueller . Wayne Baker celebrated his first win of the season in Sonoma .
