Road Atlanta

The second 45-minute race of Road Atlanta 1981 , also Road Atlanta GT II (Camel GTU Race), Road Atlanta , took place on the circuit of Road Atlanta on September 13 of this year . The race was the 19th round of the IMSA GTP series in 1981 and only counted towards the GTU class.

The race

For the second time this season, an IMSA GTP series race weekend was held in Road Atlanta. A 45-minute race was held on this racetrack in spring . This race also only counted towards the GTU class and, like this one in September, was won by Walt Bohren in a Mazda RX-7 .
