Portland International Raceway

The 1981 Portland 1-Hour Race , also GI Joe's Datsun Grand Prix (Camel GT), Portland International Raceway , took place on August 2nd of this year at Portland International Raceway . The race was the 15th round of the IMSA GTP series in 1981 .

The race

With a race duration of just one hour, the Portland race was a sprint race. Klaus Ludwig , who was Brian Redman's big opponent at the last few events with his Ford Mustang Turbo , was absent from Portland. The Briton remained safe at the International Raceway and won with a half-minute lead over Giampiero Moretti in the Porsche 935 / 78-81 .
