Ted Field
Frederick Woodruff "Ted" Field (born June 1, 1953 in Chicago , Illinois ) is an American film producer , racing driver and entrepreneur .
Life
Fields is a son of Marshall Field IV, who owned the Chicago Sun-Times from 1956 to 1965 , and whose second wife was Katherine Woodruff. Field himself was married until the late 1980s and has several children.
Field won in 1979 with Hurley Haywood and Danny Ongais the 24 Hours of Daytona . Field has been a film producer since the mid-1980s. In 1982 he founded the film production company Interscope Communications . Field and his colleague Robert W. Cort received the Golden Raspberry in the category of worst film in 1989 for the production of Cocktail . To date he has been involved in more than 75 film productions.
He is one of the heirs to the Field family . His net worth is estimated at $ 1.2 billion. It was ranked 236 on Forbes Magazine's 2012 Billionaires World Ranking .
