A Real Dead One is the third live album by the British heavy metal band Iron Maiden . The album was released on October 18, 1993 via EMI .
background
The album does not contain a full concert. The twelve songs represented on A Real Dead One were recorded at nine different concerts of the Fear of the Dark World Tour in Europe. While A Real Live One covered the period from 1986 onwards, A Real Dead One focuses on the band's early albums. All tracks are from the albums Iron Maiden , Killers , The Number of the Beast , Piece of Mind and Powerslave . A total of seven songs have already been released as live versions on Live After Death 1985.
The cover artwork was designed by Derek Riggs .
In 1998 A Real Dead One was re-released together with A Real Live One as a double album under the title A Real Live Dead One .

Single releases
Hallowed Be Thy Name was released as a single . In addition to the title song, there are three other live songs on the maxi CD. In England the single reached number 9 in the charts.

The live album sold a little worse than its predecessor. The highest chart placement (12th place) was achieved in England. The album reached number 50 in Germany.
