A Real Live One is the second live album by the British heavy metal band Iron Maiden . The album was released on March 22, 1993 via EMI .
background
The album does not contain a full concert. The eleven songs featured on A Real Live One were recorded at nine different concerts on the Fear Of The Dark World Tour in Europe. Part of the concept of the album was that only songs after 1986 were integrated into the album. The timing was chosen because the group's first live album, Live After Death , was released in 1985 . On this release, the songs come from the albums Somewhere in Time , Seventh Son of a Seventh Son , No Prayer for the Dying and Fear of the Dark . So there was no overlap with the first live album. In the same year, A Real Dead One was released, which only contained songs from the phase before 1986.
The cover artwork was designed by Derek Riggs.
In 1998, A Real Live One was re-released together with A Real Dead One as a double album under the title A Real Live Dead One .
The album reached number 25 in the German charts. In England it made it into the top 10 and took third place.
