Adam Holender

Adam Holender (born November 13, 1937 in Krakow ) is a Polish cameraman .

Life

After the outbreak of World War II in 1939 and the occupation of eastern Poland by the Red Army , Adam Holender's family was deported to Siberia . The family only returned to Poland after the war. After graduating from high school, Holender first studied architecture and then began studying camera at the Łódź Film School , which he graduated in 1964. In 1966 he traveled to Canada as a tourist and toured North America. When he came to New York City , he got a job driving a documentary film team. In this way he got back to his originally learned profession and started as a cameraman for documentaries and commercials. His first feature film was to be his breakthrough right away. For John Schlesinger he shot his film Asphalt-Cowboy in New York .
