Fire during shipyard stay in Arnis

On November 21, 2009, the Adler VII was badly damaged in a major fire at the Otto Eberhardt shipyard in Arnis , where the ship was in a shipyard for maintenance and class work. The fire was discovered by a shipyard employee at 7.45 a.m. Complete destruction of the ship and the spread of the fire to the shipyard could only be prevented with a large number of fire brigades . At around 11.30 a.m. the last embers were extinguished. The fire that broke out in the ship's galley for an unexplained cause resulted in damage of over 100,000 euros.

As of October 2019, the ship has not yet been put back into service. It was in the Arnis shipyard until October 31, 2016 and was transferred to the Lindenau shipyard in Kiel on that day . The Adler VII has been a trailer in the Obereiderhafen in Rendsburg since February 6, 2019 .
