Adolf Richard Stellmacher

Adolf Richard Stellmacher (born March 3, 1831 in Elbing , † April 9, 1907 in Leipzig ) was a German judge .

Life

Stellmacher studied law at the Albertus University in Königsberg and became a silver Litthauer in 1850 . Sworn in in 1853, the East Prussian wheelwright was appointed trainee lawyer in the district of the Marienwerder Court of Appeal on May 11, 1855 . In 1859 he became a court assessor and worked at the Danzig courts. He later became an unskilled laborer at the public prosecutor's office in Tilsit , from 1864 a public prosecutor in Angerburg and from 1866 in Insterburg . He was then transferred to Altona and appointed senior public prosecutor at the (later) higher regional court in Königsberg in March 1875 . In the same position he went to the Higher Regional Court of Celle on October 1, 1879 . Finally, on January 1, 1890, he became a councilor in the First Criminal Senate of the Reichsgericht , of which he was a member until July 1, 1903, the day he left the service. At the ceremony for the 25th anniversary of the Reichsgericht on October 1, 1904, the University of Leipzig awarded him the Dr. iur. hc From 1884 Stellmacher was a member of the Prussian State Council . At the 55th foundation festival , on May 17, 1906, he was awarded the Ribbon of the Corps Baltia Königsberg , which had been donated by the Silber-Litthauern in 1851. Theodor Fontane described him as a “fresh East Prussian bon vivant”.
