Ahmad Mesgarha
Ahmad Mesgarha (* 1963 in Berlin ) is a German actor.
Life
Ahmad Mesgarha grew up in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg. He trained as a construction worker with a high school diploma and studied from 1985 to 1989 at the "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" University of Music and Theater in Leipzig . He then worked for a year at the New Theater Halle .
Mesgarha has been a permanent member of the Dresden State Theater since 1990 . Here he worked with the directors Volker Lösch , Klaus Dieter Kirst , Wolfgang Engel , Tilmann Köhler , Stefan Bachmann and Roger Vontobel . In 2004 he received the Erich Ponto Prize .
He can also be seen as a guest on the Theaterkahn Dresden , the Tom-Pauls-Theater Pirna and the Semperoper Dresden.
Ahmad Mesgarha's name comes from his Iranian father. He lives in Dresden- Weisser Hirsch, is married to the dance teacher Jana Mesgarha and has two daughters.
The actor is an avid marathon and long distance runner. In 2017 Mesgarha's first book about his running trip was published with the title What do you want on Iceland .
