Life
Origin and family
Albert von Liebenau was a member of the Prussian line of the Liebenau family . His parents were the Prussian Lieutenant Colonel Friedrich Karl Ludwig von Liebenau (1764–1841) and Karoline Eleonore Antoinette, née von Flemming (1767–1845).
He married Konradine von Goldbeck (1807–1873) in 1835 . A daughter Karoline Friederike Ludowika (1838–1860) and the son Eduard (1840–1900), Prussian major general and chief court and house marshal of Kaiser Wilhelm II , emerged from the marriage.
Career
Liebenau visited the Berlin Cadet House and in 1817 was transferred to the 13th Infantry Regiment of the Prussian Army as a Second Lieutenant . He was promoted to prime lieutenant in 1828 and captain and company commander in 1835 . In 1846 Liebenau moved to the 1st Battalion in the 21st Landwehr Regiment and in 1851 to the 12th Infantry Regiment as a major and commander . In 1853 he was promoted to lieutenant colonel and in 1854 was commander of the 23rd Infantry Regiment . After he was promoted to 1854 Colonel had received, he received his 1857 farewell to board and was in the same year with his board for disposition made. On the occasion of the coronation celebrations of King Wilhelm I , he was awarded the Red Eagle Order III in 1861 . Excellent with a bow.
