Albrecht Ehrentreich von Rohr (born December 22, 1720 at Gut Tramnitz in the Ruppin district , † November 20, 1800 in Magdeburg ) was a Prussian major general , inspector of the West Prussian infantry regiments and chief of infantry regiment No. 54 , knight of the Pour le Mérite and Drost von Limberg and local mountains .

Life

His parents were the heir of Tramnitz Georg Ludwig von Rohr (born November 15, 1678; † January 14, 1746) and Sophie von Bredow (born October 12, 1690; † September 16, 1728) from the Senzke family (sister of Asmus Ehrenreich from Bredow )

Military career

Pipe came in 1735 as a cadet in the Infantry Regiment "Graevenitz" no. 20 and was 1738 Ensign . In 1741 he became second lieutenant and in 1746 prime lieutenant . In 1756 he became a staff captain and in 1757 a real captain . In 1759 he became a major and in 1765 a lieutenant colonel . In 1766 he became the commander of Infantry Regiment No. 20. In addition, Rohr received the Drostei von Limberg on June 7, 1768 and in 1769 the Drostei von Hausberge. In 1770 he was promoted to colonel and in 1773 head of the newly established infantry regiment No. 54 in Graudenz . In 1777 he was appointed major general.

In 1784 he retired at his own request.

He fought in the Silesian Wars in the battles of Mollwitz , Hohenfriedberg and Kesselsdorf . He was wounded and captured in the Battle of Kolin . In the Seven Years' War he fought near Hochkirch and Torgau . In the battle of Freiberg it acquired the Pour le Mérite.

family

Rohr was married to Agnes Sophie Auguste von Alvensleben (* March 3, 1743 - March 21, 1806), daughter of the Chief Court Master Friedrich August von Alvensleben , since April 10, 1766 . The couple had children including:
