Alexandru Dan Tudor (born September 13, 1971 in Bucharest ) is a former Romanian football referee .

Tudor had been a FIFA referee since 2001 . That year he whistled at the U-16 European Championship in England and the U-17 World Cup in Trinidad and Tobago . One of his first appearances in an international club competition was the second round match in the UI Cup between TSV 1860 Munich and FK Smederevo in Augsburg on July 1, 2001 . After various appearances in Champions League qualifiers and in the UEFA Cup - including the 0-0 between Alemannia Aachen and FH Hafnarfjörður in 2004 - he also led four qualifying games for the 2006 World Cup in 2004/05 , including the 6-0 win against Switzerland the Faroese selection and Russia's 5: 1 against Luxembourg . Tudor was known for wanting to get by with as few yellow or red cards as possible. In 50 international appearances, he has shown eleven players the red and 190 times the yellow card.
