Alexis Gougeard (born March 5, 1993 in Rouen ) is a French cyclist .

As a young driver, Gougeard was junior champion on the track in the points race and on the road in the individual time trial . In 2013 he won sections of the U23 Nations Cup - stage races Tour de l'Avenir and Coupe des Nations Ville Saguenay .

In 2014 he became a member of the UCI WorldTeam Ag2r La Mondiale and won his first UCI category 1.1 competition with the Classic Loire-Atlantique one-day race . He contested his first Grand Tour at the Vuelta a España 2015 , which he finished in 112th place. He achieved his greatest career success up to then on the mountainous 19th stage to Ávila , after he was able to break away from a larger breakaway group that had already formed shortly after the start, 28 kilometers from the finish.
