Alfred Könner

Alfred Könner (born December 2, 1921 in Alt Schalkowitz / Upper Silesia , † August 6, 2008 in Berlin ) was a German publisher and writer .

Life

Alfred Könner studied German , art history and education at the Humboldt University in Berlin . From 1953 he worked as a publisher's editor ; from 1959 to 1986 he was editor-in-chief of the Altberliner Verlag in East Berlin .

Alfred Könner wrote the texts for numerous picture books ; He also translated children's books - mainly from English - into German .
