Alina Anatoljewna Kaschlinskaja ( Russian Алина Анатольевна Кашлинская ; born October 28, 1993 in Moscow ) is a Russian chess player . She has the titles of Grand Master of Women (WGM) and International Master (IM). Kaschlinskaja is the reigning European women's chess champion .

Career

Kaschlinskaja was born in Moscow and started playing chess at the age of 7. Her first trainer was Lyudmila Saizewa , later she was taught by Grand Masters Valeri Chekhov and Sergei Archipov .

At the 2010 Chess Olympiad in Khanty-Mansiysk , Kaschlinskaja played for the second Russian women's team and won an individual silver medal as the second best player on board 5 with an Elo performance of 2327 and 5.5 points from 9 games.

At the youth world championship in the U18 women in Caldas Novas , Brazil , Kaschlinskaja was runner-up behind Meri Arabidze . In April 2013, Kaschlinskaja won the Russian youth championship for women (U21). In 2015, Kaschlinskaja took third place at the European Women's Championship. In October 2018, Kaschlinskaja won the women's ranking of the Isle of Man Open and achieved her first grandmaster norm .

At the European Women's Chess Championship 2019 in Antalya , Turkey , Kaschlinskaja won the title with eight points from eleven games thanks to the better evaluation against Marie Sebag , Elisabeth Pähtz , Inna Gaponenko and Antoaneta Stefanowa .

In the Russian women's team championship from 2011 to 2017, Kashlinskaya played almost continuously (in 2013 she competed for AGU Beloretschensk ) for the selection of RGSU Moscow , with which she won the title in 2011, 2015 and 2016. She also took part with the team in the European Club Cup for women in 2011, 2012 and 2014 to 2017 , achieving third place with the team in 2014, the best result on the reserve board in 2011 and the second best result in 2014 Result on board 4. Since 2014 Kaschlinskaja has played in the German women's chess league for SK Schwäbisch Hall . In 2017, she played for Shenzhen in the Chinese team championship .
