action

Fifteen-year-old Clinton Willart comes to Florida to bring his brother Berry-Berry $ 200 to get him out of jail. As soon as he is free, he sends his brother back to Ohio , but promises the boy that he will return to the family for Christmas.

At home, Clinton witnesses his brother being glorified by mother Annabell and father Ralph. The family lives their desolate life in the provinces and the son far from home is for them at the same time the dream of a better life. Clinton falls in love with the beautiful daughter of Annabell's friend. However, Echo also makes a big impression on the rest of the family. When Berry-Berry actually comes home, Echo falls in love with the charming daredevil. Berry-Berry starts a relationship with her, but leaves when he learns that she is pregnant. The bitterly disappointed Echo takes its own life. Clinton now hates his originally revered brother and decides to kill him. But when he realizes how deeply affected his brother is and how much he has to struggle with himself, he spares him.
