history

All You Can Eat was founded in 2008 as a pure hardcore punk band and changed their music style with the change of singer. When the band was founded, all musicians attended the Heinrich-Heine-Gymnasium in Wolfen . In 2008 Florian Kunze ( electric bass ), Martin Eurich ( vocals ) and Steven Lawrenz ( electric guitar ) graduated from high school there. The following year, Max Rosenthal (electric guitar) also graduated from high school. Tino Seidler received his Abitur in 2012. In 2010, the group self- released an EP called Lambs Become Lions .

The debut album Seekers was released on January 4, 2013 , also as an in-house production in Germany . On April 28, 2013 the group announced they had signed a record deal with Radtone Music to distribute Seekers to the Japanese market. The album was released on June 12, 2013 in Japan via the label. The album was mastered by Christoph Wieczorek from Annisokay .

The group played on the “Dessau Allstars” as headliner together with groups like Annisokay and Versus the Sky in front of almost 1000 visitors. On June 28, 2013, the group was seen for the first time at the Mair1 Festival , where they performed on the “Painstage”. The group has also played with groups like Tasters , Texas in July , For the Fallen Dreams , Bury Your Dead , Broadway , Hopes Die Last , Hands Like Houses , Betrayal , His Statue Falls and Narcissus .

On July 14, 2013, the musicians announced on Facebook that they would break up the band. A farewell concert took place on October 26, 2013 in the Beatclub Dessau. Also present were His Statue Falls , annisokay , Eye Sea I , Versus the Sky and Keep It for Tomorrow .

style

The group played a mix of metalcore , new school hardcore and melodic hardcore on the EP Lambs Become Lions, which was released in 2010, and has been compared with groups like For the Fallen Dreams , Stick to Your Guns and The Ghost Inside . With the change of the singer, which became inevitable due to a time overlap between the studies that had begun in the meantime and the work with a band, the style of the group largely changed.

Today the group plays a kind of post-hardcore , in which influences from pop music , electronic music and classical music can also be heard. On the album Seekers , the singer completely dispenses with screams , shouts and other guttural vocals. In terms of vocals, the group is comparable to Hands Like Houses and Emarosa , who have so far also dispensed with guttural singing. The texts, which are all written in English , take up personal and life-philosophical questions. If the party is canceled , the music is sometimes compared with groups like Bullet for My Valentine and 30 Seconds to Mars . The critic also attributes post-rock influences to the group.
