Broadway is a five-piece American rock band from Kissimmee / Florida , consisting of Misha Camacho ( vocals ), Jake Garland ( drums ), Gabriel Fernandez ( bass ) as well as Felipe Sanchez and Sean Connors ( guitar ). Garland also plays in Memphis May Fire .
history
The group released their debut album in 2009 under the label Uprising Records (including Carnifex , Dr. Acula , Emmure , My Bitter End ). It's called Kingdoms and it's available worldwide. For the song Same Thing We Do Everyday Pinky , in which Craig Owens from Chiodos has a guest appearance, a video was shot by Robby Starbuck , who has already worked with Silverstein , Asking Alexandria and Pierce the Veil . In the song Don't Jump the Shark Before You Save the Whale , Jonny Craig from Emarosa was a guest musician. Previously, the group released an EP under the title Scratch and Sniff in 2007 on their own.
On June 19, 2012, Gentlemen's Brawl was their second studio album, again via Uprising Records . Originally a release was scheduled for May 22nd, but the release has been postponed , according to music magazine Alternative Press . The group originally planned to only release the album digitally. Due to the fact that the album was well received by many concert managers and distributors, the band was made an offer to release the album on CD. In November the group played with Atlantis across the UK . Immediately afterwards a European tour followed, which also led through Germany , France and Austria . The group previously toured the United States in September with Us, From Outside and These Hearts .
In February 2013, the band toured together with The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus through the US states of Texas , Illinois , Indiana and Oklahoma . The group wrote new material for the next album in 2013. However, a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter.com to finance the production costs for the new album failed. The group had to move the desired album further back. In 2014 the band worked in the studio to record a new album with a new concept. The first single, Volcano Jack , was released in mid-July 2014. Later in the year, another single, Artificial Love , was released. The concept album Contexture: Gods, Men, and the Infinite Cosmos was finally released on March 10, 2015 on a digital basis.
Former members include Bryan Camara ( guitar ) and Jack Fowler (guitar). The latter now plays in Sleeping with Sirens . In 2013 drummer Jake Garland left the band to concentrate on Memphis May Fire .
style
The band plays alternative rock with influences from post-hardcore and partly also emo .
