history
The area around All Saints' Day has been inhabited since the Stone Age, as nearby stone ax finds show. The current districts / localities in the south of Neuss emerged as part of the Frankish conquest and belonged to the parish of Rosellen and the Electorate of Cologne . The residents suffered from military campaigns several times, for example in 1474 when Charles the Bold of Burgundy besieged Neuss. After the occupation by the French, a mairie was set up in Norf , to which All Saints' Day was also subordinated. In 1815 All Saints' Day fell to Prussia . At the beginning of the 20th century around 50% of the population were day laborers , 30% farmers and 20% craftsmen. With the designation of new industrial areas in the Neuss city area, Allerheiligen increasingly developed into a commuter community. The district has continued to grow dynamically since the 1990s until today; new residential areas are regularly emerging. The work in the northeast of Allerheiligen (development area B) will enter the final phase in 2020. Another new building area in the Kuckhof area is being planned for the next few years.
