Amandhof was originally a Vorwerk that belonged to the Preussisch Krawarn Castle and was founded in 1866. It was named in memory of Count Amand von Gashin , who had acquired the von Krawarn manor in 1842.

After the division of Upper Silesia, Amandhof remained with the German Empire . Until 1945 the place was in the district of Ratibor . Until then, the Vorwerk was owned by the von Donnersmarck family.

In 1945 the formerly German town came under Polish administration and was then attached to the Silesian Voivodeship and renamed Amandów in Poland . From 1945 a housing estate was built near the Vorwerk. In 1949 an agricultural production cooperative was founded in the Vorwerk. In 1950 the place came to the Opole Voivodeship. In 1962 a residential area with single-family houses was built. In 1975 the place came to the Katowice Voivodeship. In 1980 an apartment building was completed.
